حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ " حَامِلٌ أُمَامَةَ ابْنَةَ زَيْنَبَ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ: عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ، فَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَسَجَدَ وَضَعَهَا، وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهَا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that I once saw the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer in such a way that he had Zainab’s (may Allah be pleased with her) daughter, Umamah, on his shoulder. When the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) would stand, he would lift her up, and when he would go into bowing (ruku‘), he would put her down.
