Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was traveling with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). I saw a wild donkey, so I quickly mounted my horse, took my spear, and hunted it. Some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) who were in the state of Ihram ate from it, and later they became fearful. I or someone else asked the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) about this. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "Did you signal? Or assist? Or lie in wait?" The companions (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "No." So the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) permitted them to eat it.
