English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he was traveling with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) on a route to Makkah Mukarramah. He, along with some of his companions who were in the state of ihram, lagged behind, but he himself was not in the state of ihram. He saw a wild donkey, so he quickly mounted his horse and asked his companions for his whip, but they refused. Then he asked for a spear, but they also refused to give it. Eventually, he himself got down, took it, and ran swiftly towards the wild donkey and hunted it. Some of the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them) ate from it, while some refused to eat. When they reached the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), they asked about it. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: "It is Allah who has fed you this food."
