حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ قَالَ حَسَنٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ: حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " خَيْرُ الْخَيْلِ الْأَدْهَمُ، الْأَقْرَحُ، الْأَرْثَمُ المُحَجَّلُ ثَّلَاثِ (١) ، مُطْلَقُ الْيَمِينِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ أَدْهَمَ، فَكُمَيْتٌ عَلَى هَذِهِ الشِّيَةِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best horse is the one that is completely black, with a white mark on its forehead the size of a dirham, a white nose, and three white legs, with only the right foreleg being like the rest of the body. If such a horse cannot be found in black, then the best horse is the one that is chestnut in color, with the same description.
