حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ، وَابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ، وَأُمَامَةُ بِنْتُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ، يَعْنِي حَامِلُهَا، فَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَضَعَهَا، وَإِذَا فَرَغَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ رَفَعَهَا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that once he saw the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) performing prayer in such a manner that he (ﷺ) was holding up Umamah bint al-As, the daughter of Zainab (may Allah be pleased with her). When the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) would stand, he would lift her up, and when he would go into ruku‘, he would put her down.
