حَدِيثُ أَبِي عُقْبَةَ (١)، ٢٢٥١٥ - حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُقْبَةَ وَكَانَ مَوْلًى مِنْ أَهْلِ فَارِسَ قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مَعَ نَبِيِّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَضَرَبْتُ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فَقُلْتُ: خُذْهَا مِنِّي، وَأَنَا الْغُلَامُ الْفَارِسِيُّ فَبَلَغَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: " هَلَّا قُلْتَ: خُذْهَا مِنِّي وَأَنَا الْغُلَامُ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
Abu Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a freed slave of the people of Persia, says: At the time of the Battle of Uhud, I was present with the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). I attacked a man from among the polytheists and said, "Watch out, for I am a Persian youth." This voice also reached the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Why did you not say, 'Watch out, for I am an Ansari youth'?"
