حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ بَيَانِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي شَهْمٍ قَالَ: كَانَ (٢) رَجُلًا بَطَّالًا قَالَ: فَمَرَّتْ بِي جَارِيَةٌ فِي بَعْضِ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ إِذْ هَوَيْتُ إِلَى كَشْحِهَا، فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْغَدُ قَالَ: فَأَتَى النَّاسُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَايِعُونَهُ فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَبَسَطْتُ يَدِي لِأُبَايِعَهُ، فَقَبَضَ يَدَهُ وَقَالَ: " أَجنُكَ صَاحِبُ (٣) الْجُبَيْذَةِ؟، يَعْنِي: أَمَا إِنَّكَ صَاحِبُ الْجُبَيْذَةِ، أَمْسِ ". قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ، ، اللهِ، بَايِعْنِي فَوَاللهِ لَا أَعُودُ أَبَدًا. قَالَ: " فَنَعَمْ إِذًا " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Shahm (may Allah be pleased with him) that once in Madinah Munawwarah, a slave girl passed by me and I grabbed her by her side. The next day, the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) began to take allegiance from the people, and I also presented myself. But the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) did not take allegiance from me and said, "Are you the one who pulled the slave girl?" I submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! Please accept my allegiance. By Allah, I will never do such a thing again." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Then it is fine."
