Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Tariq bin Suwaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that I submitted in the court of the Prophet, "O Messenger of Allah! We live in a region of grapes; can we extract (their wine) and drink it?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No." I repeated my question, and the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) again said, "No." I submitted, "Can we give it to a patient as a form of treatment?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "There is no cure in it; rather, it is pure disease."
