Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ruiyah Suhaimi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he presented himself before the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) and said, "My son and wealth have been seized in a raid." The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "The wealth has already been distributed, but Bilal! Take him to his child; if his child recognizes him, then hand him over to him." Accordingly, Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) took him along, showed him his son, and asked, "Do you recognize them?" When he admitted it, Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) handed him over to him. Sufyan says that the scholars believe that Ruiyah had accepted Islam before the raid.
