Musnad Ahmad Hadith 22359

Salim Al-Barrad, who is a trustworthy narrator, says that once we presented ourselves before Abu Mas’ud Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about the method of prayer. He said, “Shall I not show you how the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) used to pray?” Saying this, he stood up and said the takbir, raised his hands, placed both his palms on his knees in ruku’, and kept his hands apart from his sides. Then he stood up straight until every limb returned to its place. Then, saying the takbir, he performed sajdah and kept his hands apart from his sides. Then he raised his head and sat up straight until every limb returned to its place. Then he performed all four rak’ahs in the same manner and showed us.
