Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that in the presence of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), there was a heated argument between two men, and one of them became so angry that I can still imagine his nose turning red due to anger. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ), seeing his condition, said: "I know a word which, if this man afflicted with anger were to say, his anger would go away, and that word is: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min ash-shaytan ir-rajim.'"
