Translation

English translation

Abu Al-Aswad Daili says that when Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) was in Yemen, a case regarding the inheritance of a Jew who had died and left behind a Muslim brother was presented before him. Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) say that Islam increases, it does not decrease. And based on this hadith, he declared him (the Muslim brother) as an heir.
