Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَمِّ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " رَأَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ أُسْرِيَ بِي مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ، رَجُلًا آدَمَ، طُوَالًا، جَعْدًا، كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوءَةَ، وَرَأَيْتُ عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ مَرْبُوعَ الْخَلْقِ، إِلَى الْحُمْرَةِ وَالْبَيَاضِ، سَبْطَ الرَّأْسِ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that Jibreel (عليه السلام) said to the Prophet (ﷺ):
If only you could have seen me when I was taking the black mud of the sea and shoving it into Pharaoh's mouth.
