حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ (٢) ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ الرَّاهِبِ: أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَلَّمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَدْ بَالَ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى قَالَ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْحَائِطِ " يَعْنِي أَنَّهُ تَيَمَّمَ (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdullah bin Hanzalah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man greeted the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), at that time the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) had urinated, so he did not reply to him until he first struck his hand on the wall and performed tayammum (then he replied to him).
