Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Saeed bin Saad (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a man living in our houses who was deformed and extremely weak. Once, he astonished the people when he was caught committing "wickedness" with a maidservant of the house. He was a Muslim. Saad bin Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) presented this matter in the court of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Carry out the prescribed punishment (hadd) on him." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! He is so weak that if we flog him a hundred lashes, he will die." The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "Then take a bundle of a hundred twigs and strike him once with it, and then let him go."
