حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، وَحَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ: " يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ لِلْمُقِيمِ، وَثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهُنَّ لِلْمُسَافِرِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Khuzaimah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) used to say that a traveler can wipe over his leather socks for three nights, and a resident for one day and one night.
