Musnad Ahmad Hadith 21849

It is narrated from Ash'ath (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the tribe of Kindah and a man from Hadhramaut brought their dispute regarding a piece of land in Yemen to the service of the Noble Prophet (ﷺ). The man from Hadhramaut said, "O Messenger of Allah! He and his father together have usurped my land." The Kindite said, "O Messenger of Allah! This is my land which I inherited from my father." The man from Hadhramaut said, "O Messenger of Allah! Make him swear an oath that he does not know that this is my land and my father's land which his father had usurped." The Kindite was ready to swear the oath, so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever acquires any wealth through his oath will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection in the state that he will be afflicted with leprosy." Hearing this, the Kindite said, "This land is his and his father's."
