English translation

Umm Darda (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that whenever Abu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) would relate a hadith, he would smile. I once said to him that people might start calling you "foolish." He replied that whenever I have seen or heard the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) narrate a hadith, he was smiling.
