تتمة مسند الأَنصار، حَدِيثُ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، ٢١٦٧٣ - حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ (١) بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " خَيْرُ الشَّهَادَةِ مَا شَهِدَ بِهَا صَاحِبُهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْأَلَهَا " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Zaid bin Khalid (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best testimony is that one is ready to give testimony (for the truth) before being asked to do so.
