Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي السَّفَرِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ شُفَيٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: جَعَلَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَهُ عَنِ الصَّلاةِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: " كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَرَجَ مِنْ أَهْلِهِ لَمْ يُصَلِّ إِلا رَكْعَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يَرْجِعَ إِلَى أَهْلِهِ " (١)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“The previously married woman has more right to decide concerning herself (i.e., her marriage) than her guardian and the virgin should be asked concerning herself, and her permission is her silence."
