حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَلِيلِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَطِيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُزَاحِمُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الضَّبِّيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ زَمَنَ الشِّتَاءِ وَالْوَرَقُ يَتَهَافَتُ،، ، فَأَخَذَ بِغُصْنَيْنِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ، قَالَ: فَجَعَلَ ذَلِكَ الْوَرَقُ يَتَهَافَتُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: "يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ " قُلْتُ: لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ. قَالَ: "إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ الْمُسْلِمَ لَيُصَلِّي الصَّلَاةَ يُرِيدُ بِهَا وَجْهَ اللهِ، فَتَهَافَتُ عَنْهُ ذُنُوبُهُ كَمَا يَتَهَافَتُ هَذَا الْوَرَقُ عَنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) went out during the winter season, and at that time the leaves were falling. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) held two branches of a tree, and its leaves began to fall. The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Dharr!" I replied, "Labbaik, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "When a Muslim servant offers prayer seeking the pleasure of Allah, his sins fall away just as the leaves of this tree are falling."
