Translation

English translation

Abdullah bin Shaqiq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once I said to Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), "I wish I had seen the Noble Prophet (ﷺ), so that I could have asked him just one question." He (Abu Dharr) said, "What question would you have asked him?" He (Abdullah) said, "I would have asked whether you have seen your Lord?" Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I have already asked him that question, and in response he said, 'I saw a light, how could I see Him?'"
