حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ،، ، إِنِّي شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ عَلِيلٌ، يَشُقُّ عَلَيَّ الْقِيَامُ، فَأْمُرْنِي بِلَيْلَةٍ لَعَلَّ اللهَ يُوَفِّقُنِي فِيهَا لِلَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ. قَالَ: " عَلَيْكَ بِالسَّابِعَةِ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by a pot, and he took from it a bone with a little meat on it and a shoulder (of an animal) and ate it, then he prayed and did not do wudoo’.
