حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيَّ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الرَّجُلُ يَعْمَلُ لِنَفْسِهِ فَيُحِبُّهُ النَّاسُ؟ قَالَ: "تِلْكَ عَاجِلُ بُشْرَى الْمُؤْمِنِ " (٣)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Holy Prophet (ﷺ), "O Messenger of Allah! A person does a deed and people begin to praise him and speak highly of him (what is the ruling on this?)" The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said, "This is an immediate glad tidings for the believer."
