حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَحَجَّاجٌ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ الرَّجُلِ مِثْلُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ: الْمَرْأَةُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ " فَقُلْتُ: مَا بَالُ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْأَحْمَرِ؟ فَقَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ، ، اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي، فَقَالَ: "إِنَّ الْأَسْوَدَ شَيْطَانٌ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: If a person does not have even the rear part of a saddle in front of him, then his prayer will be invalidated if a woman, a donkey, or a black dog passes in front of him. The narrator asked: What is the difference between a black dog and a red dog? Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: Nephew! I also asked the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) the same question as you have asked me, so the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: The black dog is a devil.
