حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الرَّجُلُ يُحِبُّ الْقَوْمَ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَعْمَلَ بِأَعْمَالِهِمْ؟ قَالَ: "أَنْتَ يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ مَعَ مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ " قَالَ: قُلْتُ: فَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ. يُعِيدُهَا مَرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that once I submitted in the presence of the Messenger of Allah, "O Messenger of Allah! A man loves a certain people but cannot perform deeds like theirs. What is his status?" The Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said, "O Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), you will be with those whom you love." I said, "Then I love Allah and His Messenger." He repeated this sentence once or twice.
