Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّادِقَ الْمَصْدُوقَ يَقُولُ: "قَالَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: الْحَسَنَةُ عَشْرٌ أَوْ أَزِيدُ، وَالسَّيِّئَةُ وَاحِدَةٌ أَوْ أَغْفِرُهَا، فَمَنْ لَقِيَنِي، لَا يُشْرِكُ بِي شَيْئًا، بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطِيئَةً جَعَلْتُ لَهُ مِثْلَهَا مَغْفِرَةً " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the truthful and trustworthy Prophet (ﷺ) conveyed to us this statement from Allah Almighty: The reward of a good deed is tenfold, and I can increase it further, and the recompense of a sin is equal to it, and I can also forgive it. And O son of Adam! If you come to Me with sins filling the earth, but you do not associate anyone with Me, then I will meet you with forgiveness filling the earth.
