Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ فَرْقَدٍ السَّبَخِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ امْرَأَةً جَاءَتْ بِوَلَدِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ بِهِ لَمَمًا، وَإِنَّهُ يَأْخُذُهُ عِنْدَ طَعَامِنَا، فَيُفْسِدُ عَلَيْنَا طَعَامَنَا، قَالَ: " فَمَسَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدْرَهُ، وَدَعَا لَهُ، فَثَعَّ ثَعَّةً، فَخَرَجَ مِنْ فِيهِ مِثْلُ الْجَرْوِ الْأَسْوَدِ، فَشُفِيَ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنه) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
"There is no Muslim who visits a sick person whose time has not yet come, and says seven times, 'I ask Allah the Almighty, Lord of the Mighty Throne, to heal you,' but he will be healed."
