حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا دَيْلَمٌ، عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ أَبِي دُبَيٍّ (١) ، عَنْ أَبِي حَرْبٍ، عَنْ مِحْجَنٍ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "إِنَّ الْعَيْنَ لَتُولَعُ الرَّجُلَ (٢) بِإِذْنِ اللهِ، حَتَّى يَصْعَدَ حَالِقًا ثُمَّ يَتَرَدَّى مِنْهُ " (٣)، ،

Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: By the will of Allah, a person's eye becomes so enamored with something that he keeps climbing upon the thing to be shaved, then a time comes when he falls down from it.
