Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِمَاعِزِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ حِينَ أَتَاهُ فَأَقَرَّ عِنْدَهُ بِالزِّنَا: " لَعَلَّكَ قَبَّلْتَ أَوْ لَمَسْتَ؟ " قَالَ: لَا قَالَ: " فَنِكْتَهَا؟ "، قَالَ: نَعَمْ. فَأَمَرَ بِهِ فَرُجِمَ (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar and Ibn 'Abbas that
They testified that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, when he was on the minbar: “People should stop neglecting Jumu’ah or Allah will put a seal on their hearts and they will be recorded as being among the negligent.”
