حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، حَدَّثَنِي سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُوقَرِيُّ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَكْرِ بْنَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ أُبَيَّ بْنَ كَعْبٍ، يَقُولُ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: فَذَكَرَهُ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ مَرْوَانَ (٢)، •
Translation
English translation
Abdullah narrated to us, he said: Suwayd ibn Sa'id narrated to us, al-Walid ibn Muhammad al-Muqari narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, who said: I heard Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman, who said: I heard Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad ibn Abd Yaghuth, who said: I heard Ubayy ibn Ka'b, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say:... then he mentioned it, and he did not mention Marwan in it...
