حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ، أَنَّ أُبَيًّا، أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، مِثْلَهُ (٣)، ، •

English translation
Rawh narrated to us, Ibn Jurayj narrated to us, Ziyad—meaning Ibn Sa'd—informed me, that Ibn Shihab informed him, he said: Abu Bakr ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me, from Marwan ibn al-Hakam, from Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad, that Ubayy informed him, from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, the like of it..
