Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي مَنْصُورُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ يَغُوثَ،، ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: "إِنَّ مِنَ الشِّعْرِ حِكْمَةً " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (ﷺ) said: Some poetry is based on wisdom.
