Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْعَنْقَزِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " هَجَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نِسَاءَهُ شَهْرًا، فَلَمَّا مَضَى تِسْعٌ وَعِشْرُونَ، أَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ بَرَّتْ يَمِينُكَ وَقَدْ تَمَّ الشَّهْرُ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas (رضي الله عنه) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not fight any people until he had called them (to Islam).
