Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ:، ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلا نَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا، حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، نَهَى عَنْهُ قَالَ عَمْرٌو: ذَكَرْتُهُ لِطَاوُسٍ، فَقَالَ: طَاوُسٌ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " يَمْنَحُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَخَاهُ الْأَرْضَ خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَأْخُذَ لَهَا خَرَاجًا مَعْلُومًا " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said:
We, the young ones of the clan of Banu 'Abdul-Muttalib, came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) from Muzdalifah at night, riding red camels of ours. He started to pat our thighs and say: "My young ones, do not stone the Jamrah until the sun rises."
