Translation

English translation

It is narrated from a Sheikh of Banu Sulayt that once I presented myself before the Prophet (ﷺ). At that time, the Prophet (ﷺ) was seated and people had formed a circle around him. The Prophet (ﷺ) was wearing a thick waistcloth. The Prophet (ﷺ) was gesturing with his fingers. I heard him say: "A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim. He does not oppress him nor does he leave him helpless. Taqwa is here, Taqwa is here," meaning in the heart. "And when people love each other for the sake of Allah's pleasure, nothing can separate them except for a new thing that one of them invents, and whoever invents something is evil." (He said this three times.)
