Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Aiz bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Salman, Suhaib, and Bilal were sitting with some people when Abu Sufyan bin Harb passed by. These companions said, "By Allah, the swords of Allah have not yet properly struck the necks of Allah's enemies." Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this and said, "Are you saying this to the elder and chief of the Quraysh?" When the Prophet (ﷺ) was informed of this incident, he said, "O Abu Bakr, perhaps you have angered these people? For if you have angered them, then Allah will be angry with you." Upon hearing this, Abu Bakr went to those people and said, "Brothers, perhaps you are angry with me?" They replied, "No, O Abu Bakr! May Allah forgive you."
