حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ (١) بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ بْنِ صُخَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: " صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةَ الْخَوْفِ بِذِي قَرَدٍ - أَرْضٍ مِنْ أَرْضِ بَنِي سُلَيْمٍ - فَصَفَّ النَّاسُ خَلْفَهُ صَفَّيْنِ، صَفٌّ مُوَازِي الْعَدُوِّ، وَصَفٌّ خَلْفَهُ، فَصَلَّى بِالصَّفِّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ رَكْعَةً، ثُمَّ نَكَصَ هَؤُلاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلاءِ، وَهَؤُلاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلاءِ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً أُخْرَى " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) enjoined prayer when travelling and not travelling. Just as (nafl) prayers are offered when not travelling, before and after (the obligatory prayer), they should also be offered when travelling, before and after (the obligatory prayer).
