Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him) that once during the blessed life of the Prophet (ﷺ), I was practicing archery when the sun was eclipsed. I threw my arrows to one side and ran towards the Prophet (ﷺ) to see what he would do at the time of the solar eclipse. When I reached there, the Prophet (ﷺ) had raised his hands and was engaged in glorifying Allah, praising Him, declaring His oneness, magnifying Him, and supplicating. The Prophet (ﷺ) remained engaged in this act until the sun became bright again. Then he recited two surahs and led two rak'ahs (units of prayer).
