Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَشْعَثُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكَرَةَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: " صَلَّى بِنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ، فَصَلَّى بِبَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، فَتَأَخَّرُوا، وَجَاءَ آخَرُونَ، فَكَانُوا فِي مَكَانِهِمْ، فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ، فَصَارَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعُ رَكَعَاتِ، وَلِلْقَوْمِ رَكْعَتَانِ رَكْعَتَانِ (١) " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) led one group in two rak'ahs during the prayer of fear, then led the other group in two rak'ahs. In this way, the Prophet (ﷺ) performed four rak'ahs, and the people performed two rak'ahs each.
