Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " إِذَا أَرْسَلْتَ الْكَلْبَ، فَأَكَلَ مِنَ الصَّيْدِ، فَلا تَأْكُلْ، فَإِنَّمَا أَمْسَكَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ، وَإِذَا أَرْسَلْتَهُ، فَقَتَلَ وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ، فَكُلْ فَإِنَّمَا أَمْسَكَ عَلَى صَاحِبِهِ "، (٢)، ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ: وَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي: عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، فَضَرَبَ عَلَيْهِ أَبِي، كَذَا قَالَ أَسْبَاطٌ،
Translation
English translation
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Abbas said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say:
“There are three things that are obligatory for me and are voluntary for you: Witr prayer, offering sacrifice and Duha prayer."
