Translation
English translation
Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would observe silence twice during the prayer: once after starting the prayer, and once after completing the recitation. Imran bin Husain said that he did not even remember this regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Both of them wrote a letter to Ubayy bin Ka'b about this matter, in which they asked him about this issue. Ubayy bin Ka'b, in his reply, confirmed the statement of Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him).
