Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: " مَا خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خُطْبَةً إِلَّا نَهَانَا عَنِ الْمُثْلَةِ، وَأَمَرَنَا بِالصَّدَقَةِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that there were very few sermons in which the Prophet (ﷺ) did not command giving charity and did not prohibit mutilation.
