Translation

English translation

It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: To extend one's hand in front of someone (to beg) is a wound and a blemish by which a person stains his face. Now, whoever wishes, let him keep it on his face, and whoever wishes, let him leave it—except that a person asks from someone who is in authority, or he asks in a matter in which there is no other way out.
