Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَوْفٌ، وَهَوْذَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ، مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ فِي مَجْلِسِ قَسَامَةٍ، قَالَ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ، فَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: " إِنَّ مِنْ خَيْرِ دَوَائِكُمُ الْحِجَامَةَ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from a sheikh of Bakr bin Wa'il that once I went to Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) and he was having cupping done. He said, I heard the Prophet (ﷺ) say that the best method of treatment for you is cupping.
