Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ، وَالْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ أَبِي شَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " الْبَسُوا الثِّيَابَ الْبِيضَ، فَإِنَّهَا أَطْيَبُ وَأَطْهَرُ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ " (١)،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Wear white clothes because they are excellent and pure, and shroud your dead in them as well.
