Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " عَلَيْكُمْ بِهَذِهِ الْبَيَاضِ، فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ، وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ، فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ " (٢)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Make white clothes obligatory upon yourselves, wear white clothes yourselves, and shroud your dead in them, for they are the best of your clothes.
