Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الرُّكَيْنَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ تُسَمِّيَ رَقِيقَكَ (٢) أَرْبَعَةَ أَسْمَاءٍ: أَفْلَحَ، وَيَسَارًا، وَنَافِعًا، وَرَبَاحًا " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not name your children Aflah (successful), Najeeh (prosperous), Yasar (ease), and Rabah (profit).
