Original Arabic
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ سَمُرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " مَنْ وَجَدَ مَتَاعَهُ عِنْدَ مُفْلِسٍ بِعَيْنِهِ، فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهِ " (٣)، ،
Translation
English translation
It is narrated from Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Whoever finds his own goods with a person whom the government has declared bankrupt, he has a greater right to them.
