حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ، حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ، حَدَّثَنِي سَوَادَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَمُرَةَ بْنَ جُنْدُبٍ، يَقُولُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " لَا يَغُرَّنَّكُمْ نِدَاءُ بِلَالٍ، فَإِنَّ فِي بَصَرِهِ سُوءًا، وَلَا بَيَاضٌ يَتَراءَى (١) بِأَعْلَى السَّحَرِ " (٢)،
Translation
English translation
Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) once said during a sermon that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Do not be deceived by Bilal's call to prayer and this whiteness until the true dawn appears, because Bilal's eyesight is somewhat weak."
